Composition:

every 5 ml of the finished suspension contains:

100 mg Nitazoxanide

Auxiliary components:

Sucrose, starch, citric acid anhydrous, avikel, xanthan gum, sodium benzoate, aerosil, strawberry flavor.

Properties:

A synthetic agent, a derivative of sialicamide, used as a broad-spectrum antiparasitic agent, the effectiveness of which has been confirmed against protozoa and helminths. It is recommended for use in patients under 1 year of age who are infected with Cryptosporidium parvum and Giardia lamblia.

The antihelminthic effect is manifested through

the absorption of an enzyme necessary for the vital activity of parasites, in particular, the drug prevents the polymerization of the tubulin protein in helminths. In relation to protozoa, its action manifests itself in a different way:

biochemical studies and studies using electron radiation have shown that the 5-nitro group of metronidazole and, to a lesser extent, hydrogenase reduces the amount of ferredoxin. In these organisms, Nanazoxide acts as a toxic radical in the metabolism of carbohydrates. Its effectiveness against influenza A virus was also noted, in this case it prevents the introduction of a foreign protein into the host plasma membrane.
