Nanazoxid, 18 film-coated tablets

Composition:

Each tablet contains:

Nitazoxanide — 500 mg

Description:

Nanazoxid contains the active ingredient nitazoxanide, a synthetic antiprotozoal agent for oral use. Its antiparasitic activity is primarily due to the inhibition of the pyruvate:ferredoxin oxidoreductase (PFOR) enzyme-dependent electron transfer essential for anaerobic metabolism. This disrupts the energy metabolism of parasites such as Giardia lamblia and Cryptosporidium parvum. Other mechanisms of action may also contribute to its efficacy.
