Composition:
Each soft gelatin capsule contains:
Alverine citrate 60 mg
Simethicone 300 mg
Inactive ingredients:
Gelatin, glycerin, sorbitol 70/70, sodium ethyl hydroxybenzoate, sodium propyl hydroxybenzoate, quinoline yellow, brilliant blue, iron oxide black powder, titanium dioxide powder, purified water
Properties:
Antispasmodic, musculotropic, antiflatulent
Alverine citrate is a musculotropic , antispasmodic.
Simethicone acts by modifying the surface tension of the gas bubbles thus causing their coalescence.
Indications:
Symptomatic treatment of intestinal dysfunctional manifestations, especially with bloating.
Dosage and administration:
For adults only 1 capsule 2 to 3 times daily at the beginning of meals or at time of pain.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any excipients.
Side effects:
Cytolytic liver injury
Skin rash, urticaria,priorities
Anaphylactic type reactions, anaphylactic shock
Vertigo
Headache
Nausea
Warnings and precautions:
Liver function:
Increase in ALT( alanine aminotransferase) and ASAT ( Aspartate aminotransferase)> 2 times the upper limit of normal (ULN) has been reported in patients receiving alverine/ simethicone therapy. This increase may be associated with a concomitant elevation of total serum bilirubin. If there is an increase in hepatic aminotransferases>3 times the ULN, end even more or in case of jaundice, treatment with alverine/simethicone should be discontinued.
Storage:
Store at a temperature not exceeding 30°C in a dry place.
