Spasmodigestin 30 tablets
Composition:
Each tablet contains:
Papain — 100 mg.
Sanenzyme 3500 — 36 mg.
Sodium dehydrocholate — 10 mg.
Dicyclomine hydrochloride — 5 mg.
Simethicone — 30 mg.
Excipients: povidone K90, crospovidone, microcrystalline cellulose, colloidal silicon dioxide, dibasic calcium phosphate dihydrate.
Product Description:
- Spasmodigestin is a balanced combination drug with digestive, choleretic, antispasmodic, and anti‑inflammatory properties.
- Papain and Sanenzyme 3500 (multi‑enzyme complex: protease, amylase, lipase, cellulase) aid in food breakdown.
- Sodium dehydrocholate enhances bile flow, improving fat digestion.
- Dicyclomine hydrochloride provides antimuscarinic and direct antispasmodic action, effective in irritable bowel syndrome.
- Simethicone acts as a defoaming agent, reduces gas bubbles, relieves bloating and prevents gas pockets.
Indications for Use:
Acute functional dyspepsia (maximum treatment duration: 10 days).
Method of Administration and Dosage:
Oral use: 1–2 tablets before each meal.
Contraindications:
- Hypersensitivity to any ingredient.
- Prostate enlargement with risk of urinary retention.
- Paralytic intestinal obstruction.
- Pyloric stenosis.
Precautions:
Use cautiously in patients with diarrhea.
Contraindicated in patients with myasthenia.
Adverse Reactions / Side Effects:
- Dry mouth, difficulty swallowing, thirst.
- Reduced bronchial secretion.
- Mydriasis, cycloplegia, photophobia.
- Skin flushing and dryness.
- Bradycardia, tachycardia, arrhythmia.
- Urinary retention.
- Constipation due to reduced GI motility.
Pregnancy and Lactation:
Insufficient data; use not recommended.
Storage Conditions:
Store at temperatures not exceeding 30 °C, in a dry place, protected from light and out of reach of children.
