Composition:
Each tablet contains:
Purified senna extract 100 mg
(Equivalent to calcium sennosides 20 mg)
Inactive ingredients:
Lactose monohydrate, starch, talc, magnesium stearate.
Properties:
Laxative of plant origin. Senna leaves contain dianthrone glycosides (about 3%) – sennosides A, A1, B-G; a small amount of anthraquinone glycosides, incl. aloe-emodin and rhein 8-glycosides; about 10% mucus; flavonoids, incl. kaempferol derivatives; naphthalene glycosides.
Stimulates peristalsis of the colon, causes normal stools 8-10 hours after ingestion. Selectively acts on the colon, restores the normal functioning of the intestine, does not affect digestion.
Indications:
Constipation due to hypotension and sluggish peristalsis of the colon. Stool regulation for hemorrhoids, proctitis, anal fissures; spastic and atonic constipation of various etiologies.
Dosage and administration:
Take orally in the evening after meals, 1-2 tablets.
The maximum course of admission is 8-10 days.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to senna; intestinal obstruction, abdominal pain of unknown origin, impaired water and electrolyte metabolism, acute inflammatory diseases of the abdominal organs, proctitis and hemorrhoids during an exacerbation, strangulated hernia, bleeding from the gastrointestinal tract, uterine bleeding, cystitis, spastic colitis, spastic constipation; pregnancy, breastfeeding period.
Warnings and precautions:
With prolonged use of senna preparations, addiction may develop, so it is advisable to alternate them with other laxatives.
Side effects:
Perhaps: allergic reactions, abdominal pain, flatulence, diarrhea; with prolonged use – colitis.
Storage:
Store at a temperature not exceeding 30°C.
