Composition: 

Each tablet contains Pioglitazone 30 mg and Glimepiride 4 mg. 

Product Description: 

Piompride is an oral antidiabetic preparation combining pioglitazone (a thiazolidinedione) and glimepiride (a sulfonylurea).
It improves glycemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus by enhancing insulin sensitivity and stimulating insulin secretion. 

Indications for Use: 

Piompride is indicated for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus in patients insufficiently controlled by diet, exercise, or monotherapy. 

Method of Administration and Dosage: 

Administered orally once daily, preferably before meals.
Dosage is individualized based on patient’s glycemic response. 

Contraindications: 

Contraindicated in patients with type 1 diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, severe hepatic impairment, or hypersensitivity to pioglitazone, glimepiride, or excipients. 

Precautions: 

Caution in patients with heart failure, hepatic dysfunction, or risk of hypoglycemia.
Regular monitoring of blood glucose and liver function is recommended. 

Adverse Reactions: 

Possible side effects include hypoglycemia, weight gain, edema, headache, and gastrointestinal upset.
Rarely, hepatotoxicity or heart failure may occur. 

Pregnancy and Lactation: 

Not recommended during pregnancy or lactation.
Insulin is preferred for glycemic control in these conditions. 

Storage Conditions: 

Store below 25°C in a dry place, protected from moisture and light.
Keep out of reach of children.

Supplied in a box containing 3 strips of 10 tablets each.
