Composition:
Each suppository contains:
Meclizine hydrochloride 50 mg
Properties:
Navoproxin suppositories contain the active ingredient Meclizine, which is used for the treatment and for prevention of nausea, vomiting and vertigo.
Meclizine HCI is a piperazine derivative, possessing anti-emetic and anti-histaminic effects.
– The anti-emetic effects are exerted by depressing labyrinthine excitability, and blocking the afferent emetic pathways to the chemoreceptor trigger Zone (CTZ) and vomiting center.
– Meclizine has an antihistamine effect antagonizing the H1 receptors in the CNS.
Indications:
Navoproxin is indicated in the management of nausea, vomiting, vertigo and dizziness associated with many conditions and during pregnancy.
Directions for use:
One suppository to be administered rectally, preferably at bed time.
Contraindications
-Navoproxin is contraindicated in those who are known to have hypersensitivity to Meclizine.
-The use of Meclizine should be avoided in patients suffering from narrow angle glaucoma, severe heart failure and those patients having difficulty urinating due to enlargement of the prostate.
Warnings and precautions:
- Meclizine should be used with caution in patients who operate machines or drive motor vehicles, because it might induce some impairment of mental alertness or coordination of movement and may cause some slowness of reaction time.
- Meclizine should be used with caution in patients who are concomitantly using other CNS depressants (e.g. Barbiturates, ..etc.)
- Do not use products that contain material Meclizine never during the first three months of pregnancy.
