Composition:
Each tablet contains:
Active ingredient: Itopride hydrochloride – 50 mg
Product Description:
- Garopride is a gastroprokinetic medicine for oral use.
- It improves gastric motility and coordination by increasing acetylcholine levels in the gastrointestinal tract.
- The immediate‑release tablet form ensures rapid onset of action.
- Garopride also has antiemetic properties due to its effect on dopamine receptors in the brain.
Indications for Use:
Treatment of gastrointestinal symptoms associated with impaired gastric motility or delayed gastric emptying, such as:
- Abdominal bloating,
- Early satiety,
- Postprandial fullness,
- Epigastric pain or discomfort,
- Loss of appetite,
- Heartburn,
- Nausea,
- Vomiting Functional (non‑ulcer) dyspepsia or chronic gastritis.
Method of Administration and Dosage:
Adults: 1 tablet (50 mg) orally, 3 times daily before meals.
Recommended daily dose: 150 mg.
Dose may be reduced depending on age and symptoms.
Clinical studies: treatment duration up to 8 weeks.
Contraindications:
- Gastrointestinal bleeding, mechanical obstruction, or perforation.
- Pregnancy.
- Lactation (breastfeeding).
- Children under 16 years (safety data unavailable).
- Hypersensitivity to itopride or excipients.
Precautions:
Itopride enhances acetylcholine activity and may cause cholinergic adverse reactions.
Adverse Reactions (Side Effects):
- Gastrointestinal: common – abdominal pain, diarrhea;
uncommon – hypersalivation - Laboratory findings: uncommon – elevated ALT, leukopenia
- Nervous system: uncommon – dizziness, headache

Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
