Composition:

Each 5 ml of suspension contains:

Nifuroxazide 220mg.

Auxiliary components:

carbomer, sucrose, sodium hydroxide (E 524), citric acid monohydrate (E 330), simethicone, methylparaben (E 218), banana essence, purified water.

Properties:

Antibacterial agent. Blocks dehydrogenase and inhibits the respiratory chain, the tricarboxylic acid cycle and a number of other biochemical processes in the microbial cell. Destroys the microbial wall and cytoplasmic membrane, reduces the production of toxins by microorganisms. Activates immunity: increases phagocytosis of microorganisms and complement titer. After oral administration, it is practically not absorbed and has an effect in the intestinal lumen. Effective against most gram-positive (staphylococci, streptococci, clostridia) and gram-negative (Escherichia coli, Salmonella, Shigella, Klebsiella,

Enterobacteriaceae, Vibrio cholerae) pathogenic intestinal bacteria. When infected with enterotropic viruses, it prevents the development of bacterial superinfection. The type of effect (bactericidal or bacteriostatic) depends on the intra-intestinal concentration.

Indications:

Acute intestinal infections with diarrhea; chronic intestinal infections – colitis and enterocolitis; dysbiosis (violation of microflora) of the intestine – as part of complex treatment; prevention of infectious complications during operations on the gastrointestinal tract.

Method of administration and dosage:

Children over 2 years old:

5 ml of suspension every 12 hours.

The course of treatment should not last longer than 7 days.

Antinal is taken orally, without chewing the capsule, but swallowing it whole. Drink wit clean water. The suspension also needs to be washed down. You can take the medicine both before meals and after – it doesn’t matter. However, equal intervals of time must be observed between receptions.

Contraindications:

Individual hypersensitivity to the drug (allergy).

The child is under two months old.

Precautionary measures:

During the period of treatment with Antinal, the patient should follow a diet that excludes raw vegetables and fruits, juices, as well as spicy, fatty and hard-to-digest foods. You need to drink plenty of liquids (mineral water, weak unsweetened tea, salt solutions). You can not drink alcohol during treatment, because Antinal in combination with alcohol can cause increased diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal pain, difficulty breathing, increased heart rate, rush of blood to the upper half of the body, a feeling of fear. Antinal does not affect the speed of the patient’s reactions and the ability to concentrate.
