Structure:

Each 28 drops (1 ml) contains:

Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol) 2800 IU

Auxiliary components:

Polysorbitol 20, vitamin E, glycerin, edetate disodium, purified water.

Properties:

It enhances the absorption of calcium in the intestine and the reabsorption of phosphorus in the renal tubules, normalizes the formation of the bone skeleton and teeth in children, and helps to preserve the structure of bones. Increases the permeability of the cellular and mitochondrial membranes of the intestinal epithelium, facilitating the transmembrane transport of calcium and other divalent cations, activates the secondary absorption of phosphates, increases the capture of these ions by bone tissue, and enhances the ossification process.

Indications:

-Hypo- and vitamin D3 vitamin deficiency (prevention and treatment), a state of increased body demand for vitamin D: rickets, spasmophilia, osteomalacia, osteoporosis, nephrogenic osteopathy;

-Hypoparathyroidism (postoperative, idiopathic, tetany), pseudohypoparathyroidism.

Method of administration and dosage:

Dose for full-term infants:

4 drops per day (first year of life), starting 2-5 weeks after birth.

Dose for premature babies:

4-8 drops per day (in the first year of life).

For medicinal purposes with rickets, 50 drops per day for 3 weeks.

Contraindications:

-Hypersensitivity to vitamin D3, acute renal failure.

-hypercalcemia;

-hypervitaminosis D3;

– renal osteodystrophy – with hyperphosphatemia;

-calcium nephrourolithiasis;

Precautions:

With prophylactic use, it is necessary to keep in mind the possibility of overdose, especially in children (more than 400,000-600,000 IU / year should not be prescribed). Prolonged use in high doses leads to chronic hypervitaminosis D3.

It should be borne in mind that the sensitivity to vitamin D3 in different patients is individual and in a number of patients taking even therapeutic doses can cause hypervitaminosis.

Side effects:

Allergic reactions, hypercalcemia, hypercalciuria, decreased appetite, polyuria, constipation, flatulence, nausea, abdominal pain, headache, myalgia, arthralgia, increased blood pressure, arrhythmia, renal dysfunction, exacerbation of the tuberculous process in the lungs.
