Vanvilda Plus 50/850 mg 30 tablets

Vanvilda Plus – Combined oral hypoglycemic drug.

Composition (per 1 tablet):

• Vildagliptin – 50 mg
• Metformin hydrochloride (Metformin HCl) – 850 mg.

Pharmacological properties:

Vildagliptin is a DPP- 4 inhibitor, increases insulin secretion and reduces glucagon production in response to food intake, helping to normalize blood glucose levels.
Metformin is a biguanide, reduces glucose production in the liver, increases tissue sensitivity to insulin and slows down the absorption of glucose in the intestine.
The combination provides a synergistic effect, improving glycemic control without a significant risk of hypoglycemia.

Indications for use:

• Type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults, when diet and exercise are ineffective
• Combination therapy when monotherapy with vildagliptin or metformin is insufficient
• As part of triple therapy with other hypoglycemic agents (as prescribed by a doctor).

Method of administration and dosage:

• Usually prescribed 1 tablet 2 times a day, during meals.
• The dosage is selected individually by the doctor, taking into account the level of glucose in the blood and tolerance.
• The maximum daily dose of metformin is 2000 mg.
