Ultrasolv Syrup 120 ml
Composition:
Each 5 ml of syrup contains:
Carbocisteine — 125 mg.
Guaifenesin — 100 mg.
Oxomemazine hydrochloride — 2 mg.
Excipients: sodium bicarbonate, sucrose, sodium methylparaben, sodium propylparaben, sodium saccharin, caramel flavor, sorbitol, purified water.
Product Description:
- A combined mucolytic, expectorant, and antihistamine preparation.
- Carbocisteine normalizes bronchial secretion composition, reduces viscosity, facilitates mucus clearance, promotes mucosal regeneration, and improves mucociliary clearance.
- Guaifenesin enhances ciliary activity, increases secretion of liquid components of bronchial mucus, reduces viscosity, and promotes expectoration.
- Oxomemazine is an H1 antihistamine used to relieve allergy‑related cough.
Indications for Use:
- Acute and chronic bronchopulmonary diseases with viscous sputum (tracheitis, bronchitis, tracheobronchitis, bronchial asthma, bronchiectasis).
- Inflammatory diseases of the middle ear (otitis media).
- Inflammatory diseases of the nose and paranasal sinuses (rhinitis, sinusitis).
- Allergic bronchitis.
- Preparation for bronchoscopy and/or bronchography.
Method of Administration and Dosage:
Adults: 7.5 ml syrup 2–3 times daily.
Children 6–12 years: 7.5 ml syrup 3–4 times daily.
Administer orally with water.
Contraindications:
- Hypersensitivity to carbocisteine or other components.
- Peptic ulcer disease in exacerbation.
- Chronic glomerulonephritis in exacerbation.
- Children under 6 years of age.
Precautions:
Reduce dose in patients with a history of peptic ulcer disease.
Therapy may be combined with physiotherapy.
Effect on driving and operating machinery has not been studied.
Adverse Reactions / Side Effects:
- Gastrointestinal: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, epigastric pain, rare gastrointestinal bleeding.
- Allergic: itching, urticaria, rash, angioedema.
- Other: dizziness, weakness, malaise.
- In asthmatic and elderly patients, airway obstruction may occur.
Pregnancy and Lactation:
Use only if prescribed by a physician, after assessing benefit/risk ratio.
Storage Conditions:
Store at temperatures not exceeding 30 °C.
Keep out of reach of children.
