Composition and form of release:
Active ingredient: Xylometazoline hydrochloride Img \ Iml
Nasal drops as a clear, colorless solution, plastic bottle.
Pharmachologic effect:
A vasoconstrictor for topical use in ENT practice. When applied to mucous membranes, it causes vasoconstriction, as a result of which local hyperemia and edema decrease. With rhinitis, facilitates nasal breathing.
Do not use the drug for more than 7 days to avoid atrophy of the nasal mucosa.
Indications:
Symptomatic treatment of nasal congestion in chronic, year-round and acute rhinitis (including allergic and associated with flowering), sinusitis.
Contraindications:
-Individual intolerance to the components of the drug.
-Patients after removal of the pituitary gland or
other surgical interventions on the brain in history.
- Children under 12 years old.
- Angle – closure glaucoma.
- Atrophic rhinitis.
- Arterial hypertension, tachycardia, severe atherosclerosis.

Application during pregnancy and lactation:
During pregnancy and lactation, it should be used only after careful assessment of the riskbenefit ratio for the mother and the fetus by the attending physician.
Side effects:
With frequent and / or prolonged use: irrita of the mucous membrane, burning, tingling, sneezing, dry nasal mucosa, hypersecretion.
Rarely : swelling of the nasal mucosa (more often with prolonged use), palpitations, cardiac arrhythmias, increased blood pressure, headache, vomiting, sleep disorders, visual disturbances.
With long-term use in high doses: depressive state.
Dosing regimen:
Intranasally. 2-3 drops in each nasal passage 2-3 times a day.
