Tussivan-N syrup
Composition:
Each 5 ml of syrup contains:
Chlorpheniramine maleate 1 mg
Phenylephrine hydrochlorothiazide 5 mg
Dextromethorphan 3.65 mg
Excipients:
Propylene glycol, sugar, benzoic acid, citric acid, methylparaben, propylparaben, sodium citrate, carmosine, orange oil, cinnamon oil, raspberry flavoring.
Description:
Tussivan N syrup is a highly effective and reliable cough syrup that relieves various types of cough. Suitable for both adults and children, relieves dry and chest cough, does not cause drowsiness. It is recommended by health professionals.
Properties:
Dextromethorphan inhibits the excitability of the cough center and suppresses cough, regardless of its origin. It does not have a narcotic, analgesic or hypnotic effect.
Phenylephrine is an adrenergic agonist. It has a direct stimulating effect mainly on α-adrenergic receptors.
When used systemically, it causes constriction of arterioles, providing an anti-edematous effect on the mucous membrane of the upper and lower respiratory tract.
Chlorpheniramine maleate is a histamine H1-receptor blocker, has an antiserotonin, antihistamine, weak anticholinergic, sedative effect. Reduces the severity of allergic reactions mediated by the action of histamine, reduces capillary permeability, constricts blood vessels, eliminates swelling and hyperemia of the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity, nasopharynx and paranasal sinuses; reduces local exudative manifestations, suppresses the symptoms of allergic rhinitis: sneezing, rhinorrhea, itching of the eyes, nose.
Indications:
Symptomatic treatment of cough and rhinitis of allergic and infectious etiology.
Method of administration and dosage:
Adults and children over 12 years old:
2 teaspoons (10 ml) every 6 hours. It is not recommended to exceed the indicated dosage.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
Age under 12 years.
Not recommended for use in the treatment of bronchial asthma.
Severe hypertension
IHD
Closed-angle glaucoma
Renal failure
Peptic ulcer
Take MAO inhibitors in the last 14 days.
Precautions:
Use with caution if you have a history of the following diseases: bronchial asthma, intestinal obstruction, diabetes mellitus, increased intraocular pressure, hyperthyroidism, benign prostatic hyperplasia.
If you have a persistent cough for 7 days after taking the drug or if your condition worsens, consult a doctor.
Side effects:
Allergic reactions, drowsiness, increased blood pressure, dry mucous membranes of the mouth and nose. Diarrhea, constipation, intestinal obstruction.
Storage conditions:
At a temperature not exceeding 30 degrees.

The cardboard box contains paper instructions and a glass bottle with 125 ml syrup.
