Triocept 21 tablets
Composition:
One tablet contains:
• Ethinylestradiol
• Levonorgestrel.
Triocept is a combined oral contraceptive.
Triocept is used to prevent unwanted pregnancy. It contains two hormones — an estrogen and a progestin — and provides reliable contraception when taken regularly.
Pharmacological properties:
Triocept is a combined hormonal contraceptive containing ethinylestradiol (a synthetic estrogen) and levonorgestrel (a synthetic progestin). The combined action of these components ensures high effectiveness in preventing pregnancy.
Additional contraceptive mechanisms include:
• Thickening of cervical mucus, which hinders sperm penetration
• Alteration of the endometrium, reducing the likelihood of implantation of a fertilized egg
• Regulation of the menstrual cycle, reduction of blood loss and menstrual pain.
Indications for use:
• Pregnancy prevention
• Regulation of the menstrual cycle
• Treatment of acne and seborrhea (as part of combination therapy).
Method of administration and dosage:
• Take 1 tablet daily, preferably at the same time, for 21 consecutive days, followed by a 7-day break.
• Start taking the tablets on the first day of menstruation.
• Resume from a new pack after the 7-day break.
Missing a tablet may reduce effectiveness, especially if the missed dose occurs at the beginning or end of the cycle.
