Composition:
Each tablet contains: Cyproheptadine hydrochloride 4 mg.
Product Description:
Triactin is an H1‑histamine receptor blocker with additional anticholinergic and antiserotonin activity.
It prevents and alleviates allergic reactions, has antipruritic, antiexudative, anticholinergic, and sedative effects.
The drug stimulates appetite, blocks hypersecretion of somatotropin in acromegaly, and ACTH secretion in Cushing’s syndrome.
Indications for Use:
- Acute and chronic urticaria, serum sickness, hay fever, vasomotor rhinitis.
- Toxicodermia, itching, eczema, eczematous dermatitis, contact dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, angioedema, insect bites.
- Neurodermatitis.
- Vascular headaches (migraine, histamine headache).
- Anorexia of various origins (nervous, idiopathic), wasting conditions (post‑infectious, convalescence, chronic diseases).
Method of Administration and Dosage:
Adults: 1 tablet 2–3 times daily. Maximum daily dose: 8 tablets.
Children 7–14 years: 1 tablet 2–3 times daily. Maximum daily dose: 4 tablets.
Contraindications:
- Hypersensitivity to the drug.
- Closed‑angle glaucoma.
- Benign prostatic hyperplasia.
- Children under 2 years.
- Predisposition to edema.
- Urinary retention.
- Concurrent use with MAO inhibitors.
- Pregnancy.
- Lactation.
Precautions:
May be used with narcotic analgesics and anxiolytics (under strict medical supervision) for preoperative preparation, as it potentiates the effects of concomitant drugs and prevents histamine‑related adverse effects (hypotension, bronchospasm) during surgery.
Patients should refrain from driving vehicles, operating machinery, or performing hazardous tasks during treatment.
Adverse Reactions / Side Effects:
Transient drowsiness (rarely requires discontinuation).
Less common: dry mouth, anxiety, confusion, ataxia, visual hallucinations, dizziness, nausea, skin rash, agitation, headache.
Pregnancy and Lactation:
Contraindicated.
Storage Conditions:
Store at temperatures not exceeding 30 °C.

Carton box containing 2 blisters of 10 tablets each.
