Taking daily supplements with 400 to 800 mcg of folic acid may prevent serious health problems in  babies. Folic acid is a vitamin B form called folate. Folate plays an important role in the production of red blood cells and helps your baby’s neural tube develop into their brain and spinal cord.

Besides, folic acid is a vital element in all body functions:
