Composition:

Each 100 ml of syrup contains:

Chlorpheniramine maleate 50 mg

Phenylephrine hydrochloride 100 mg

Auxiliary components:

Citric acid, disodium edetat, methylparaben, propylparaben, propylene glycol, sodium metabisulfite, sodium citrate, sorbitol, carmoisin, strawberry flavor, sucrose, purified water.

Properties:

Combined drug, has analgesic, vasoconstrictor and antihistamine effects, eliminates the symptoms of the common cold. Phenylephrine is an alpha-adrenergic agonist with a moderate vasoconstrictor effect. Chlorphenamine is a blocker of HI-histamine receptors. Narrows the vessels of the nose, eliminates swelling and hyperemia of the nasal mucosa, nasopharynx and paranasal sinuses; reduce exudative manifestations, suppresses the symptoms of allergic rhinitis.

Indications:

Short-term symptomatic treatment of colds, rhinitis, rhinopharyngitis and flu-like conditions in adults and children, accompanied by rhinosinusitis, laryngitis, nasal congestion, runny nose, including allergic etiology, otitis media.

Method of administration and dosage:

Children 2-6 years old: 1/2 teaspoon 3 times a day.

Children 6-12 years old: 1 teaspoon 3 times a day.

Adults and children over 12 years old: 2 teaspoonfuls 3 times a day.

Contraindications:

• hypersensitivity to drug components;
• diseases of the cardiovascular system (severe forms of ischemic heart disease, myocardial infarction, unstable angina pectoris, aortic stenosis, severe atherosclerosis, cardiac arrhythmias, decompensated heart failure, uncontrolled arterial hypertension);

• severe kidney and / or liver dysfunction;
• deficiency of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase;
• alcoholism, epilepsy;
• pheochromocytoma;
• diabetes;
• angle-closure glaucoma;
• hypertrophy of the prostate gland with urinary retention;
• diseases of the blood system, severe leukopenia, anemia;
• bronchial asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases;
• children under 2 years old;
• pregnancy, lactation period.

Precautions:

-If symptoms persist within 5 days, consult a doctor. During the period of treatment, it is necessary to refrain from using ethanol (the development of hepatotoxic action is possible).

Side effects:

Allergic reactions: skin rash, itching, urticaria, angioedema.

From the side of the central nervous system:

dizziness, sleep disturbance, hyperexcitability.

From the side of the cardiovascular system: increased blood pressure, tachycardia.

From the digestive system: dry mouth, nausea, vomiting, epigastric pain, hepatotoxic effect.

From the side of the organ of vision: mydria paresis of accommodation, increased intraocular pressure.

From the hematopoietic system: anemia, thrombocytopenia, agranulocytosis, hemolyticanemia, aplastic anemia, methemoglobinemia, pancytopenia.

From the urinary system: renal colic, glucosuria, inerstitial nephritis, papillary necrosis.

From the respiratory system: bronchial obstruction.
