Hexamine – 500 mg
Khellin – 1.83 mg
Description:
RENAL S-N is a urinary antiseptic and antispasmodic in the form of effervescent granules. It combines hexamine, which exerts antimicrobial activity in acidic urine, with khellin, a natural compound known for its antispasmodic properties. This dual action helps relieve urinary discomfort, combat infections, and soothe urinary tract spasms.
Indications for Use:
-Chronic urinary tract infections such as pyelitis, pyelonephritis, and cystitis
-Urinary infections associated with neurogenic bladder
-Prophylaxis of urinary tract infections in patients with residual urine (e.g., due to neurological diseases or prolonged catheterization)
-Rapid relief of urinary tract spasms and irritation caused by crystalluria or urinary calculi
Dosage and Administration:
Dissolve the contents of 1–2 sachets in half a glass of water and drink immediately during effervescence, three times daily, or as prescribed by a physician.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to any of the components
Severe renal or hepatic impairment
Precautions:
Do not exceed the recommended dose to avoid potential nervous system side effects
Do not use concurrently with sulfonamides due to risk of insoluble precipitate formation in the urinary tract
Side Effects:
RENAL S-N is generally well tolerated. Rare cases may include:
Nausea
Abdominal discomfort
Skin rash
Khellin may cause elevated liver enzymes or liver dysfunction in some patients
Pregnancy and Lactation:
Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding only if strictly indicated and under medical supervision, as with other hexamine-containing preparations.

Store in a dry place at a temperature not exceeding 30°C.
