Composition:

Each 5 ml syrup contains:

Levodropropizine 30 mg

Description:

Omegacough syrup is used for symptomatic treatment of irritable cough and Non-productive cough.

Dosage:

The package is accompanied by small measuring cup with which the syrup can be measured the measuring marks are divided into millimeters.

Adults and adolescents over 12 years take a single dose 10 ml syrup (eq. to 60 mg levodropropizine) up to three times daily, but there must be a break of 6 hours between doses.

Children: 2 – 12 years take as a total daily dose of 0.5 ml of syrup per kg body weight (eq. to 3 mg Levodropropizine / kg), divided into 3 single doses at least 6 hours intervals.

Note for diabetics

This medicine contains 2.0 g sucrose /5 ml syrup. This should not be used in patients with diabetic mellitus.

Contraindications:

Omegacough syrup should not be taken with:

– Known or possible hypersensitivity to the active ingredient, methyl / propyl paraben or any of the excipients

– Productive cough (cough with ejection)

– Decreased mucociliary function (Kartagener Syndrome, ciliary dyskinesia)

– Severe hepatic impairment

– Children under 2 years

-This medicine is not suitable, due to contained sucrose, for people with fructose intolerance (hereditary fructose intolerance) and in glucose- galactose malabsorption or sucrase- isomatlase deficiency.

Side effect:

Side effects were observed very rarely (less than 1/10000):

Skin: Urticaria (hives), skin redness (erythema), rash (exanthema), itching, swelling (angioedema), cutaneous reactions

Gastrointestinal Tract: Gastrointestinal discomfort, nausea, vomiting, failure.

Nervous System: Dizziness, tremor, paresthesia, weakness, fatigue, drowsiness, clouding of consciousness, dizziness, headache

Cardiovascular system: Palpitations, increased heart rate, decreased blood pressure

Respiratory system: Shortness of breath, cough, swelling of the airway area Skeletal and muscular system: Weakness, weakness in lower legs General discomfort: Allergic and hypersensitivity reactions.

Methyl/Propyl paraben hypersensitivity reactions can also cause delayed reactions.

Storage:

Store at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C.

Keep out of reach of children.
