Properties:

NOW Vitamin D-3 softgels supply this key vitamin in a highly absorbable liquid softgel form.

• Vitamin D is normally obtained from the diet or produced by the skin from the ultraviolet energy of the sun, also known as the sunshine vitamin. However, it is not abundant in food. As more people avoid sun exposure, vitamin D supplementation becomes even more necessary to ensure that your body receives an adequate supply.

• Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin. Studies indicate that having vitamin D with a large meal or source of fat can significantly increase absorption.

• Vitamin D helps your body absorb calcium. It also plays crucial roles in mood regulation and reducing depression, supporting immune health.

Indications:

Dietary supplement, source of Vitamin D. Possibly effective for:

General health, teeth and bones strenthening, osteoporosis treatment and profilaxy, immune boosting, hypocalcemia, calcium metabolism, osteomalacia.

Dosage and administration:

Take 1 softgel daily with a meal or as prescribed by your physician. The duration of treatment should not exceed 1 month and might be repeated after a while if needed.

Side effects:

Common:

Nausea and vomiting, poor appetite and weight loss, constipation, weakness. 

Rare: Confusion and disorientation, heart rhythm problems, kidney stones and kidney damage.
