Composition:
• Active ingredient:
Montelukast (Montelukast sodium) — 10 mg.
Clear Air is used for the prevention and long-term treatment of bronchial asthma, as well as for relief of symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis. It is a leukotriene receptor antagonist that reduces inflammation of the airways.
Pharmacological properties:
• Blocks leukotriene receptors in the airways
• Has anti-inflammatory effects
• Reduces bronchospasm and allergy.
Indications for use:
• Prevention and treatment of chronic asthma in adults and children aged 12 months and older.
• Prevention of bronchospasm causing shortness of breath during physical exercise in children aged 12 years and older.
• Control of symptoms of nasal allergy, including sneezing, nasal congestion, and runny nose, in cases of seasonal allergy in adults and children aged 2 years and older, as well as in cases of chronic allergy in adults and children aged 6 months and older.
Method of administration and dosage:
The doctor determines the dosage depending on the condition and age of the patient. The most important dosages used depending on the health condition are as follows:
For cases of asthma and allergic rhinitis:
• Adults and children over 15 years: 10 mg once a day.
• Children from 6 to 14 years: 5 mg once a day.
• Children from 2 to 5 years: 4 mg once a day.
For shortness of breath associated with physical exertion:
• For adults and children 15 years and older:
10 mg once a day, at least 2 hours before exercise.
