K-Viton 10 mg 20 tablets
Composition:
• Acetomenaphthone 10 mg per tablet.
K-Viton 10 mg is a hemostatic agent used for the treatment and prevention of bleeding associated with vitamin K deficiency or impaired synthesis of blood clotting factors.
Pharmacological properties:
Acetomenaphthone (a vitamin K₄ analog) participates in the synthesis of prothrombin and other clotting factors in the liver. It increases blood coagulation in hypoprothrombinemia caused by various reasons — vitamin K malabsorption, liver diseases, prolonged use of antibiotics or salicylates.
The drug is rapidly absorbed, showing effects within a few hours.
Indications for use:
• Hypoprothrombinemia
• Bleeding caused by vitamin K deficiency
• Prevention of bleeding in liver diseases
• Before surgical interventions in patients prone to bleeding.
Dosage and administration:
Usually prescribed at 10 mg 1–2 times a day.
The dosage may be adjusted by a doctor depending on indications and patient condition.
The treatment course is selected individually.
