Composition:

Active substance: Iron (III) hydroxide polymaltose complex 156.25 mg (equivalent to 50 mg elemental iron) per 1 ml.
Excipients: Sorbitol 70/70 non‑crystallizing, Methyl Paraben Sodium (Nipagen), Propyl Paraben Sodium (Nipasol), Ethanol 96%, Banana flavor, Purified water.

Product Description:

An iron supplement formulated for infants and children.
It is designed to treat iron deficiency and iron deficiency anemia.
The preparation provides elemental iron in a stable complex, ensuring good tolerability and absorption.

Indications for Use:

Treatment of iron deficiency without anemia.
Treatment of iron deficiency with anemia.
Diagnosis and extent of deficiency must be confirmed by laboratory tests.

Method of Administration and Dosage:

• Dosage is based on elemental iron requirements:
  Infants up to 1 year: 25–50 mg daily for iron deficiency with anemia; 15–25 mg daily for iron deficiency without anemia.
  Children (1–12 years): 50–100 mg daily for iron deficiency with anemia; 25–50 mg daily for iron deficiency without anemia.
• Administer orally using the dropper provided.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to iron or any excipients.
Iron overload conditions (e.g., hemochromatosis, hemosiderosis).
Non‑iron deficiency anemia.

Precautions:

Use with caution in patients with gastrointestinal disorders.
Do not exceed recommended dosage.
Monitor iron levels during prolonged therapy.

Adverse Reactions / Side Effects:

Possible gastrointestinal discomfort, nausea, constipation, or diarrhea.
Rare allergic reactions to excipients.
Darkening of stools may occur and is harmless.

Pregnancy and Lactation:
