Ascorbic acid (vitamin C), as an antioxidant, metabolic and redox regulating agent, increases the adaptive capacity of the body, enhances its resistance to infections. Zinc is a structural component of biological membranes, cell receptors, proteins, and is part of more than 200 enzymatic systems.
