Each film coated tablet contains:
Ethamsylate 500 mg
Inactive ingredients:
Methyl cellulose, Prosolv 90, Croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate, Opadry 2 Pink
Indications:
In surgery:
Prophylaxis and treatment of capillary haemorrhages, preoperatively and postoperatively in ail delicate operations or richly vascularized tissues: ENT, gynaecology, obstetrics, urology, odontostomatology, ophthalmology, plastic and reconstructive surgery.
In internal medicine:
Prophylaxis and treatment of capillary haemorrhages, whatever their origin and location: haematuria, haematemesis and melaena, epistaxis, gingival bleeding.
In gynecology:
Breakthrough bleeding, primary menorrhagia or menorrhagia due to intrauterine devices, in the absence of organic pathology.
Method of administration:
Adults and adolescents:
Preoperative: 1 Haemostop®500mg tablet, 1 hour before surgery.
Postoperative: 1 Haemostop®500mg tablet, repeated every 4 to 6 hours as long as the risk of haemorrhage persists.
In internal medicine: in general, 1 Haemostop®500mg tablet, 2 or 3 times daily (1,000 ~ 1,500 mg), taken with meats with a little water.
In gynaecology:
In case of menometrorrhagia:
1 Haemostop®500mg tablet, 3 times daily (1,500 mg), taken with meals with a little water.
The treatment lasts 10 days and starts 5 days before the date of onset of menses. Children Due to its high content of active substance, Haemostop®500mg is inappropriate for the treatment of children.
Contraindications:
-Acute porphyria
-Hypersensitivity to any of the excipients of the medicinal product.
Warnings and precautions: Haemostop®500mg is administered to alleviate excessive and/or excessively long-lasting menstrual bleeding without treatment being followed by improvement, possible pathological causes should be identified and excluded.
Side effects:
Blood and lymphatic circulation disorders:
Very rare: agranulocytosis, neutropenia, thrombocytopenia.
Immune system disorders:
Hypersensitivity, anaphylactic shock
Nervous system disorders:
Common: headache
Vascular disorders:
Very rare: thromboembolism Gastrointestinal disorders:
Common: nausea, diarrhoea, abdominal discomfort
Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders: Common: rash
Musculoskeletal disorders:
Rare: arthralgia
General disorders and administration site accidents
Common: asthenia
Very rare: fever
In general, these reactions are reversible and disappear when treatment.
If skin reactions or fever occur, treatment should be discontinued and the doctor should be informed, as this may constitute an allergic reaction.
Storage:
Store at a temperature not exceeding 30°C in a dry place.
