Composition (per 1 tablet):

• Famotidine – 20 mg.

Gastrodomina is an anti-ulcer drug from the group of H2-histamine receptor blockers. It is used to reduce gastric acid production, relieve symptoms of acid-related gastrointestinal diseases, and accelerate the healing of the stomach and duodenal mucosa.

Pharmacological properties:

Famotidine belongs to second-generation H2-histamine receptor blockers. It suppresses the production of hydrochloric acid in the stomach, both at rest and when stimulated (by food intake, histamine, pentagastrin, etc.). This reduces the acidity of the gastric contents and decreases the aggressive effect on the mucous membrane of the stomach and duodenum.
Due to its long duration of action (up to 12 hours), famotidine effectively controls nocturnal and daytime acid secretion, promoting ulcer healing and reducing symptoms such as heartburn and epigastric pain.
It does not affect the activity of digestive enzymes and practically does not alter gastric and intestinal motility.

Indications for use:

• Peptic ulcer disease of the stomach and duodenum.
• GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease).
• Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
• Functional dyspepsia with hypersecretion.
• Prevention of peptic ulcer recurrence.

Method of administration and dosage:

For adults:

• The usual dose is 20 mg 1–2 times daily.
• For ulcers – 20 mg in the evening or 40 mg before bedtime, course of 4–8 weeks.
• For GERD – 20 mg twice daily for 6 weeks.
• The tablet should be swallowed whole, not chewed or divided.
