Composition:

1 tablet contains 5.4 mg of mosapride citrate (eq. to 5 mg Mosapride)

Indications:

• Gastrointestinal symptoms associated with chronic gastritis, heartburn, nausea, and vomiting)

• The adjunctive treatment with oral gastrointestinal lavage solution for barium enema X - ray examination.

Dosage and Administration:

• For the treatment of heartburn, nausea/vomiting associated with chronic gastritis:

In general, for adults, take 1 tablet (5mg of mosapride citrate), 3 times a day, before or after meal. 

• For the treatment of adjunctive treatment with orally gastrointestinal lavage solution for barium enema X - ray examination: 

In general, for adults, take 4 tablets (20mg of mosapride citrate) with the orally gastrointestinal lavage solution (approx. 180mL) at the time of administration of the lavage solution, and take 4 tablets with a small amount of water after administration of the lavage solution.

• Elderly population: Since the physiological function in the kidneys and liver of elderly patients are reduced in general, this drug should be administered with care by monitoring patients' condition. If any adverse reactions are found, appropriate measures such as reducing the dose (e.g. to 7.5 mg daily) should be done.

Precautions:

-This drug should not be administered for a long period of time, without adequate evaluation, because fulminant hepatitis, severe hepatic failure, and jaundice may occur.

-The patients should to discontinue the drug and contact a physician or other healthcare professional if they observe any symptoms such as malaise, anorexia, concentrated urine, and yellow eye sclera after administration of this drug.

-Pregnancy:

-This drug should be used in pregnant women, women who may possibly be pregnant, only if the expected therapeutic benefits outweigh the possible risks associated with the treatment.

-Breastfeeding:

-Administration of this drug to lactating mothers should be avoided. If administration is essential, lactating mothers should discontinue breast feeding during the treatment.



Side Effects:

-The main adverse reactions: diarrhea/loose stools, dry mouth, malaise, diarrhe-amination, abdominal pain, dry mouth, bloating, nausea, urine occult blood, abdominal pain, headache, proteinuria.

-Serious side effects:

Fulminant hepatitis, hepatic failure and jaundice(less than 0.1%, each). 

-Other Side Effects:

Gastrointestinal tract: feeling of abdominal distension, nausea, abdominal pain, stomach discomfort, Blenching

Hepatic: Elevations of Bilirubin

Psycho neurological system: Headache, drowsiness

Others: chest discomfort, malaise, facial swelling, urinary occult blood, proteinuria, elevation of LDH.

Storage: 

Store at temperature not excess at 30 c in dry place.

Keep out of reach of children.
