Composition:

Each tablet contains:
Paracetamol 500 mg,
Phenylephrine Hydrochloride 5 mg,
Chlorpheniramine Maleate 2 mg.
Excipients: sorbate preservative and other inactive ingredients.

Product Description:

Flurest‑N is a combination analgesic, decongestant, and antihistaminic preparation.
It provides relief from symptoms of colds and flu, including fever, headache, sore throat, nasal congestion, and runny nose.

Indications for Use:

Relief of headache, sore throat, body aches, and fever associated with colds and influenza.
Reduction of nasal congestion and runny nose.
Symptomatic treatment of flu‑like conditions.

Method of Administration and Dosage:

• Adults (including elderly) and children ≥12 years: 1–2 tablets every 6 hours as needed.
• Maximum daily dose: 8 tablets in 24 hours.
• Minimum dosing interval: 6 hours.
• Maximum duration without medical advice: 7 days.
• Children under 12 years: Not recommended.
• Children under 6 years: Contraindicated for OTC use with phenylephrine/chlorpheniramine combinations.
• Children 6–12 years: Not recommended except under medical advice.
• Elderly: More prone to adverse effects with chlorpheniramine; use with caution.
• Renal impairment: Seek medical advice before use; restrictions due to paracetamol and chlorpheniramine content.
• Hepatic impairment: Seek medical advice before use; restrictions due to paracetamol and chlorpheniramine content.

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to paracetamol, phenylephrine, chlorpheniramine, antihistamines, or excipients.
• Severe hypertension or coronary artery disease.
• Hyperthyroidism.
• Prostatic hypertrophy.
• Glaucoma.
• Concurrent use of monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or within 14 days of stopping such treatment.

Precautions:

• Avoid alcohol due to chlorpheniramine content.
• Use with caution in children and elderly (higher risk of anticholinergic side effects).
• Monitor hepatic and renal function in impaired patients.
• Avoid concurrent use with sedatives, anxiolytics, or hypnotics.

Adverse Reactions:

• Common: drowsiness, headache, nausea.
• Less common: dizziness, rash, liver enzyme elevations.
• Rare: severe allergic reactions, anticholinergic effects, arrhythmias.

Pregnancy and Lactation:

Use only if clearly needed under medical supervision;
avoid prolonged use.

Storage Conditions:

Store below 25°C, protected from moisture and light.
