Composition:

• Active ingredient:
Deflazacort (micronized) — 30 mg.

Flazacor 30 mg is a synthetic glucocorticosteroid used for inflammatory, autoimmune, and allergic diseases. The drug has pronounced anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive effects, with better tolerability compared to prednisolone in long-term therapy.

Pharmacological properties:

• Deflazacort suppresses inflammation and immune responses by inhibiting the release of inflammatory mediators
• Has less impact on calcium metabolism and bone density compared to other glucocorticosteroids
• The micronized form ensures faster and more stable absorption.

Indications for use:

• Autoimmune diseases (systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, vasculitis)
• Chronic inflammatory diseases (bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis)
• Allergic reactions (severe forms)
• Nephrotic syndrome
• Dermatological and hematological disorders
• Duchenne muscular dystrophy — as a means to slow disease progression.

Dosage and administration:

Dosage is individualized depending on the disease, severity, and patient response.

Approximate dosages:

• Adults: usually 6–90 mg per day, divided into 1–2 doses
• For Duchenne muscular dystrophy: 0.9 mg/kg/day
• Tablets are preferably taken in the morning after meals with water.

Important: gradual dose reduction is necessary during long-term use to avoid withdrawal syndrome.
