Composition:

Each capsule contains:

Iron 100 mg

Auxiliary components:

Gelatin, titanium dioxide, red iron oxide.

Properties:

An antianemic agent containing iron. Iron is a trace element that is part of hemoglobin, myoglobin, and some enzymes. Reversibly binds oxygen, participates in a number of redox reactions, stimulates erythropoiesis.

Indications:

Treatment of iron deficiency anemia; prevention of iron deficiency states during pregnancy with insufficient intake of iron from food.

Method of administration and dosage:

Adults:

1 capsule 2-3 times a day

children over 6 years old:

1 capsule 1 time per day

Take on an empty stomach in the morning with plenty of water. The course of treatment is 1020 weeks.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to iron sulfate; increased iron content in the body, in particular, anemia with normal or high iron levels (thalassemia, refractory anemia, aplastic anemia); intestinal obstruction.

Precautions:

It should be used with caution in case of gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer, inflammatory bowel diseases (enteritis, diverticulitis, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease), chronic alcoholism (active or in remission), allergic diseases, bronchial asthma, hepatitis, liver or kidney failure , rheumatoid arthritis associated with blood transfusion.

The combination of an iron salt and folate i preferred for iron deficiency anemia with fol deficiency.

With the course application, systematic monitoring of serum iron and hemoglobin parameters is required.

Side effects:

Immune system disorders: frequency unknown – hypersensitivity reactions, urticaria.

From the respiratory system: infrequently laryngeal edema; the frequency is unknown in the elderly and patients with impaired swallowing function with an attack of suffocation or ingestion of a tablet in the respiratory tract, there is a risk of damage to the esophagus or the development of bronchial necrosis.

From the digestive system: often constipation, diarrhea, bloating, abdominal pain, discoloration of feces, nausea; infrequently – defecation disorders, dyspepsia, vomiting, gastritis.

Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders: infrequently – itching, erythematous rash.
