Composition:
Each tablet contains estradiol as hemihydrate 1 mg and dydrogesterone 5 mg,
with excipients including lactose monohydrate, maize starch, povidone, magnesium stearate, and coating materials.
Product Description:
Femoston conti is a continuous combined hormone replacement therapy (HRT) preparation containing estradiol, a natural estrogen, and dydrogesterone, a synthetic progestogen.
It is designed to relieve symptoms of estrogen deficiency in postmenopausal women while providing endometrial protection.
Indications for Use:
Hormone replacement therapy for estrogen deficiency symptoms in postmenopausal women, including vasomotor symptoms such as hot flushes, night sweats, and urogenital atrophy.
It is also indicated for the prevention of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women at risk who are intolerant of or contraindicated for other treatments.
Method of Administration and Dosage:
One film-coated tablet should be taken orally once daily without interruption.
Tablets should be swallowed whole with water, preferably at the same time each day.
Treatment should be initiated only in women at least one-year postmenopause.
Dosage adjustments are not required for continuous administration.
Contraindications:
- Known, suspected, or history of breast cancer,
- estrogen-dependent malignant tumors,
- undiagnosed vaginal bleeding,
- untreated endometrial hyperplasia,
- previous or current venous thromboembolism,
- arterial thromboembolic disease,
- liver disease,
- porphyria,
- hypersensitivity to active substances or excipients.
Precautions:
Careful assessment of risks and benefits should be undertaken before starting therapy.
Monitoring is required in women with risk factors for thromboembolism, cardiovascular disease, hormone-dependent tumors, or liver dysfunction.
Regular medical and gynecological examinations are recommended.
Adverse Reactions (Side Effects):
Common adverse reactions include headache, abdominal pain, breast tenderness, nausea, and weight changes.
Uncommon or rare reactions include venous thromboembolism, myocardial infarction, stroke, gallbladder disease, and increased risk of breast and endometrial cancer with prolonged use.
Pregnancy and Lactation:
Femoston conti is contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation.
If pregnancy occurs during treatment, therapy should be discontinued immediately.

Store below 30°C in the original packaging to protect from moisture and light.
