Femapent 2.5 mg 14 tablets

Composition:

• Letrozole 2.5 mg per tablet.

Femapent — an antitumor drug for hormone therapy
Femapent is used for the treatment of hormone-dependent breast cancer in postmenopausal women. It belongs to aromatase inhibitors — drugs that reduce estrogen levels in the body.

Pharmacological properties:

Letrozole is a non-steroidal aromatase inhibitor. It blocks the conversion of androgens to estrogens, leading to a decrease in estrogen levels in the blood. This helps slow down or stop the growth of estrogen-dependent tumors.

Indications for use:

• Treatment of early breast cancer in postmenopausal women, especially in cases where estrogen is involved in tumor growth.
• Prevention of breast cancer recurrence after completion of primary treatment (surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy).
• Treatment of advanced breast cancer in postmenopausal women.
• Preoperative treatment to reduce tumor size before surgery in some cases where chemotherapy is not suitable.
• Ovulation stimulation in women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) as part of an infertility treatment protocol.
• Prevention of breast cancer in postmenopausal women at high risk.
• Sometimes used in cases of breast cancer in men under special medical supervision.

Dosage and administration:

• Usually: 2.5 mg (1 tablet) once daily, regardless of food intake.
• Duration of therapy is determined individually and may last several years.

Consultation with an oncologist is required before use.
