Composition:

• Active ingredient:

Acetylline piperazine (Acefylline piperazine) — a derivative of theophylline.

Epicophylline is a bronchodilator in syrup form containing Acefylline piperazine, which belongs to the xanthine derivatives. It is used to relieve symptoms associated with bronchial obstruction, such as coughing, shortness of breath, and difficulty breathing.

Pharmacological properties:

• Has a bronchodilatory effect, improving airway patency
• Reduces bronchial spasms
• Provides mild expectorant action
• Has moderate stimulating effect on the central nervous system
• May reduce the severity of allergic reactions in the respiratory tract.

Indications for use:

• Chronic bronchitis
• Bronchial asthma (as part of combination therapy)
• Obstructive lung diseases with a bronchospastic component.

Dosage and administration:

Oral administration using a measuring cup.

For adults and children over 12 years: 5–10 ml 2–3 times daily
For younger children: dosage is determined individually by a physician based on age and weight.
