Composition:
Each 1 ml contains:
Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) 10,000 IU
Properties:
Vitamin D3 is a regulator of calcium and phosphorus.
- Enhances absorption of body weight in the intestines and reabsorption of phosphorus in the renal tubules.
- Promotes the formation of the bone skeleton and teeth in children, the preservation of bone structures.
- Necessary for the normal structure of the parathyroid glands.
- Participates in the synthesis of lymphokines and ATP.
Indications:
– Dietary supplement, used to enhance immunity, prevent and treat rickets, spasmophilia, mild osteomalacia, metabolic osteopathies (hypoparathyroidism, pseudohypoparathyroidism), hypocalcemic tetany.
Dosage and administration:
Orally. The correct dose and duration of the course should be recommended by your doctor, depending on the test results and the quality of liver and kidney function.
Side effects:
Symptoms due to hypercalcemia and / or hypercalciuria are most likely with hypersensitivity to cholecalciferol and overdose: anorexia, nausea, vomiting, headache, cardiac disorders, muscle and joint pain, weakness, irritability, depression, weight loss, severe thirst, polyuria, formation of kidney stones, nephrocalcinosis, soft tissue calcification.
Contraindications:
– Hypervitaminosis D, hypercalcemia, hypercalciuria, urolithiasis with the presence of calcium stones, sarcoidosis, renal failure, hypersensitivity to cholecalciferol.
– Use during pregnancy and lactation:
Should not be used in high doses during pregnancy.
When used in a high dose in a nursing mother, overdose symptoms may develop in a child.
-Use for violations of kidney function:
-Contraindicated in renal failure.
Warnings and Precautions:
- When used simultaneously with thiazide diuretics, the level of calcium in the blood and urine should be monitored every 3-6 months.
- With simultaneous use with thiazide diuretics, the risk of developing hypercalcemia increases.
- With simultaneous use with anticonvulsants, rifampicin, cholestyramine, the absorption of cholecalciferol decreases.
- With simultaneous use with cardiac glycosides, it is possible to increase the toxic effect of cardiac glycosides (the risk of developing cardiac arrhythmias increases).
- Use in children:
When used in children, it is not recommended to exceed a dose of 400,000-600,000 IU per year. For children in conditions of increased insolation, a single and, accordingly, a course dose should be reduced.
Use with caution in elderly patients.
