Composition:
Etamsylate — 250 mg
Pharmacological properties
Etamsylate has the following pharmacological effects:
1. Hemostatic action
Enhances platelet adhesion and aggregation
Stabilizes capillaries, reducing their permeability
Reduces capillary bleeding without affecting the blood coagulation system
2. Anti-edematous and angioprotective action
Increases vascular wall resistance
Reduces the formation of microthrombi in microcirculation
Indications for use
Prevention and treatment of capillary bleeding
Bleeding after surgery (including ENT surgery, gynecology, urology)
Menorrhagia (heavy menstruation)
Retinopathy in diabetes and hypertension
Bleeding in trauma and dental procedures
Method of administration and dosage
Intramuscularly (IM) or intravenously (IV)
Usually 250–500 mg (1–2 ampoules) 2–4 times a day
For surgical interventions:
1 hour before surgery: 250–500 mg
After surgery: every 4–6 hours for 1–2 days
