Composition:
Each 1 ml solution contains:
Cholecalciferol 200.000 IU, solution for injection
Properties:
Davalindi Ampoule, is a solution for intramuscular (I.M) injection, for treatment vitamin D deficiency, contain active ingredient called “Cholecalciferol” which is a form of vitamin D
-The essential role of vitamin D is exerted on the intestine, where it increases the capacity to absorb calcium and phosphates, and on the skeleton, of which it favors the mineralization (due to its direct actions on the bone formation and its indirect actions involving the intestine, parathyroid and already mineralized bone.)
Indications:
Davalindi Ampoule for I.M injection is indicated for Prophylaxis and / or treatment of vitamin D deficiency.
Dosage and administration:
– Infant receiving milk fortified with vitamin D: 1/2 ampoule (100 000 IU) every 6 months.
– Breastfed infants or not receiving milk fortified with vitamin D and young children up to 5 years old: 1 ampoule (200 000 IU) every 6 months.
– Adolescent: 1 ampoule (200 000 IU) every 6 months during the winter.
– Pregnant Women: 1/2 ampoule (100 000 IU) in the 6th and 7th month of pregnancy, possibly repeated once after a month, when the last trimester begins in winter or in case of non-exposure to sunlight.
– Elderly subject: 1/2 ampoule (100 000 IU) every 3 months.
– Child or adult with digestive disorders: 1/2 to 1 ampoule (100 000 to 200 000 IU) every 3 months.
– Child or adult under anticonvulsant treatment: 1/2 to 1 ampoule (100 000 to 200 000 IU) every 3 months.
– Child or adult in cases other than those listed above: 1 ampoule (200 000 IU) every 6 months.
-Treatment of vitamin D deficiency (rickets, osteomalacia, neonatal hypocalcemia): 1 ampoule (200 000 IU) possibly repeated once after 1 to 6 months.

Dosage is based on your condition. Tell your doctor if your condition persists or worsens.
- If you experience drowsiness, dizziness, hypotension or a headache as side-effects when using Davalindi injection medicine then it may not be safe to drive a vehicle or operate heavy machinery.
