Composition:
Each lozenge contains:
Thyme herb liquid extract (1:2-2.5) 100 mg
Extractant: ammonia solution 10%, glycerol 85%, ethanol 90% (v/v), water (in the ratio 1:20:70:109).
Inactive ingredients: sucrose, povidone, levomenthol, cineole, acacia gum, stearic acid, colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate.
Properties:
Thyme contains an essential oil, the important components of which are thymol and carvacrol. Also found in the oil are n-cymene, linalool, and borneol. Thyme grass contains organic acids (triterpene, ursolic, oleanolic, coffee, tartaric, chlorogenic), resins, flavonoids, and tannins.
Indications:
As a symptomatic agent in the complex therapy of inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract, accompanied by coughs with sputum difficult to separate.
Dosage and administration:
The lozenges dissolve in the oral cavity.
Adults and children over 12 years of age should dissolve in the mouth 1-2 lozenges several times (up to 3 times) per day.
Children aged 6 to 12 years – 1 lozenge 3 times / day.
The duration of the drug is determined by the severity of the symptoms of the disease and its duration.
Contraindications:
– chronic heart failure (in the stage of decompensation);
– severe violations of the liver and kidneys;
– children’s age up to 6 years;
– hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
Warnings and precautions:
The drug is not recommended during pregnancy and during breastfeeding.
If there is no improvement in the condition within 5 days, you should consult a doctor.
Information for patients with diabetes mellitus and patients on a hypocaloric diet: 1 lozenge corresponds to 0.07 XE.
Side effects:
Allergic reactions: possible skin rash, urticaria, angioedema of the face and mucous membranes of the oral cavity and pharynx (Quincke’s edema). In this case, you must stop taking the drug and consult a doctor.
