Composition:

Each 5 ml of syrup contains:

Bromhexine hydrochloride 4 mg

Excipients:

Flavoring agent (cherry/chocolate), benzoic acid, levomenthol, liquid maltitol, sucrose, purified water.

Properties:

A mucolytic agent with an expectorant effect. Reduces the viscosity of bronchial secretions by depolarizing the acidic polysaccharides contained in it and stimulating the secretory cells of the bronchial mucosa that produce secretions containing neutral polysaccharides. Bromhexine is believed to promote the formation of surfactant.

Indications:

Respiratory diseases accompanied by the formation of difficult-to-separate viscous secretions: tracheobronchitis, chronic bronchitis with broncho-obstructive component, bronchial asthma, cystic fibrosis, chronic pneumonia.

Method of administration and dosage:

Orally.

Adults and children over 14 years old take 10-20 ml of syrup 3 times a day.

Children aged 6 to 14 years weighing less than 50 kg take 10 ml of syrup 3 times a day.

Children aged 3 to 6 years take 5 ml of syrup 3 times a day.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to bromhexine.

Precautions:

In case of gastric ulcer, as well as in case of indications of gastric bleeding in the anamnesis, bromhexine should be used under the supervision of a physician.

Use with caution in patients suffering from bronchial asthma.

Bromhexine is not used simultaneously with drugs containing codeine, as this makes it difficult to cough up liquefied sputum.

Used as part of combination drugs of plant origin with essential oils (including eucalyptus oil, anise oil, peppermint oil, menthol).

Side effects:

From the digestive system: dyspeptic phenomena, transient increase in the activity of liver transaminases in the blood serum.

From the central nervous system: headache, dizziness.

Dermatological reactions: increased sweating, skin rash.

From the respiratory system: cough, bronchospasm.

Storage method:

Store at a temperature not exceeding 30 degrees.
