Pharmacological properties:
Sodium diclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic effects.
It inhibits the activity of cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2), reducing the production of prostaglandins - substances that cause inflammation and pain.
The modified release form provides a gradual and uniform supply of diclofenac throughout the day, which allows for a lasting therapeutic effect with a single dose.
