Allerban S.R. 2 mg 20 tablets

Composition:

• Active ingredient: Ketotifen fumarate — 2 mg per sustained-release tablet (S.R.).

Allerban is a long-acting antiallergic agent.
Allerban 2 mg is used for the prevention of allergic conditions, including bronchial asthma and chronic urticaria. It has antihistamine activity and stabilizes mast cell membranes, preventing the release of inflammatory mediators.

Pharmacological properties:

Ketotifen is an antihistamine with additional mast cell stabilizing properties.
It blocks H1-histamine receptors and prevents the release of histamine, leukotrienes, and other allergy mediators.
Effective with long-term use, especially in the prevention of bronchial asthma and allergic rhinitis.
The sustained-release form ensures a stable drug level for 24 hours.

Indications for use:

• Prevention of allergic bronchial asthma
• Allergic rhinitis and conjunctivitis
• Chronic idiopathic urticaria
• Atopic dermatitis (as part of combination therapy).

Method of administration and dosage:

Allerban SR sustained-release tablets, due to their mechanism of action, are taken once daily.
Adults: 1 tablet in the evening.
For patients who experience drowsiness or slowed reactions, it is recommended to reduce the dose to 1/2 tablet during the first week of treatment.
The maximum daily dose is 4 mg, taken in two doses.
