Composition:
• Active ingredient:
Terbutaline sulfate (Terbutaline sulphate) — 2.5 mg.
Aironyl is a bronchodilator from the β2-adrenergic agonist group. It is used to relieve breathing difficulties caused by bronchospasm associated with bronchial asthma, COPD, and other obstructive airway diseases.
Pharmacological properties:
• Stimulates β2-adrenergic receptors of the bronchi
• Provides bronchodilation — dilation of the bronchi
• Reduces airway resistance, improving ventilation.
Indications for use:
• Bronchial asthma
• Chronic bronchitis with an obstructive component
• Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
• Spastic conditions of the airways, accompanied by shortness of breath.
Method of administration and dosage:
• The recommended dosage of terbutaline tablets for the treatment of bronchospasm in adults is as follows:
Initial dose: 2.5 mg 3-4 times a day.
Maintenance dose: 2.5-5 mg 3 times a day every 6 hours.
Maximum dose: 15 mg/day.
• For children:
Children under 12 years: initially 0.05 mg/kg three times a day; Then increase the dose as needed, but not to exceed 5 mg/day.
Children aged 12–15 years: 2.5 mg every 6 hours 3 times a day; Do not exceed 7.5 mg/day.
Children over 15 years: 5 mg/dose every 8 hours three times a day; Reduce the dose to 2.5 mg every 6 hours; Do not exceed 15 mg/24 hours.
• Tablets are taken orally with water.
• The dosage may be adjusted by the doctor depending on the patient's condition.
