Maalox Plus
Compound:
Each 5 ml suspension contains:
magnesium hydroxide 200 mg, aluminum hydroxide 225 mg
simethicone 25 mg
Auxiliary components:
Domiphene bromide, methylcellulose, microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, hydroxypropylcellulose, sodium saccharin, liquid sorbitol, hydrogen peroxide 30%, lemon flavor, purified water.
Properties:
Combined remedy, the action of which is due to its constituent components; It has an antacid, adsorbing, enveloping and carminative effect. Reduces gas formation in the intestines. The laxative effect of magnesium hydroxide balances the effect of aluminum hydroxide, which has the opposite effect on intestinal motility. Neutralizes free hydrochloric acid in the stomach, reduces the activity of gastric juice.
Simethicone has a destructive effect on gas bubbles in the intestines.
Indications:
Symptomatic therapy:
– dyspepsia (dyspepsia syndrome is defined as a feeling of pain or discomfort in the stomach, heaviness, fullness, early satiety, nausea).

Side effects:
Uncommon: diarrhea, constipation.
Frequency not known (cannot be estimated from the available data):
hypersensitivity reactions (itching, urticaria, angioedema, anaphylactic reactions), hypermagnesemia, hyperaluminemia, hypophosphatemia (with prolonged use of high doses or conventional doses in patients on a low phosphate diet), which can lead to increased bone resorption, hypercalciuria and osteomalacia.
Storage method:
Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 degrees.
Package:
The cardboard box holds a 180 ml bottle, paper instructions.
