Ventocaf is a cough syrup with bronchodilator, expectorant and mucolytic action
The drug is used for acute and chronic respiratory diseases accompanied by cough with difficulty in expectorating sputum.
Composition (in 5 ml of syrup):
• Salbutamol (Salbutamol) - 1 mg
• Bromhexine hydrochloride (Bromhexine hydrochloride) - 2 mg
• Guaifenesin (Guaifenesin) - 50 mg
Sugar-free.
Pharmacological properties:
• Salbutamol is a selective β2-agonist, relaxes the smooth muscles of the bronchi, eliminates bronchospasm and facilitates breathing.
• Bromhexine is a mucolytic, reduces the viscosity of sputum and improves its transport through the respiratory tract.
• Guaifenesin is an expectorant, stimulates the secretion of the glands of the respiratory tract, facilitates coughing and clears the bronchi.
This combination provides a comprehensive effect in productive cough, especially in the presence of bronchospasm and difficult to separate sputum.
Indications for use:
• Acute and chronic bronchitis
• Bronchial asthma (as part of complex therapy)
• COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease)
• Tracheitis, tracheobronchitis
• Emphysema
• Cough with difficult to separate sputum
Method of administration and dosage:
Adults and children over 12 years old:
• 10 ml 3 times a day
Children from 6 to 12 years old:
• 5 ml 3 times a day
Children from 2 to 6 years old:
• 2.5 ml 3 times a day
