Composition:
Each 5 ml of syrup contains:
Guinefezin 100mg
Dextromethorphan hydrobromide 5mg
Auxiliary components:
Sodium benzoate, sodium saccharin, strawberry flavor, glycerin, sucrose, ethanol 96%, purified water.
Properties:
Guinefesin has an expectorant effect by increasing the secretion of liquid components of bronchial mucus, depolymerization of acidic mucopolysaccharides, and increasing the activity of the ciliated epithelium.
Dextromethorphan suppresses excessively intense afferent impulses from the mucous membrane of the respiratory tract, increases the cough threshold, reducing the intensity of dry irritating cough. Dextromethorphan is the D-isomer of levorphanol, its potency is close to codeine, but it does not have analgesic properties, does not inhibit the respiratory center and the activity of the ciliated epithelium. The duration of the antitussive action is 5-6 hours.
Indications:
The drug is intended to relieve symptoms of colds, flu, SARS, accompanied by a cough.
Method of administration and dosage:
Adults and children over 12 years old:
10 ml of syrup 3-4 times a day.
Children from 6-12 years old:
5 ml of syrup 3-4 times a day.
Do not exceed 4 doses per day.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, severe organic diseases of the central nervous system, peptic ulcer and 12 duodenal ulcer, gastric bleeding (in history), wet cough with profuse sputum discharge, children under 6 years of age.
Precautions:
Prescribe with caution in patients with rena and hepatic insufficiency, bronchial asthma,
during pregnancy and lactation.
Side effects:
Dyspepsia (nausea, vomiting), diarrhea, exacerbation of gastric ulcer and 12 duodenal ulcer, dizziness, headache, drowsiness or insomnia, irritability (especially in children), allergic reactions (skin rash, urticaria, hyperthermia).
Storage method:
In a cool dry place at a temperature not exceeding 30 degrees.
