Betamethasone 0.1 g

20 г

Composition:

Each 100 g of cream contains:

Betamethasone 0.1 g

Inactive ingredients:

Catosterol, white soft paraffin, propylene glycol, liquid paraffin, glyceryl monostearate, methyl parahydroxybenzoate,

Properties:

Betamethasone is a synthetic fluorinated corticosteroid for use in dermatology and has strong anti-inflammatory, antipruritic and vasoconstrictive effects. The mechanism of betamethasone’s anti-inflammatory action is not fully understood. It is believed that this drug reduces inflammatory processes by inhibiting the production of prostaglandins and leukotrienes due to inhibition of phospholipase A2 activity and reducing the release of arachidonic acid from phospholipids of cell membranes. As a result, hyperemia and exudation in the focus of the lesion are reduced.

-The necessary frequency of application should be established by a physician, based on the severity of the disease. In mild cases, application once/day is usually sufficient, in more severe lesions more frequent application may be required.

-The duration of treatment depends on the degree of severity, localization of lesions and the patient’s response to treatment. In the treatment of chronic diseases, therapy should be continued for 3-7 days after the disappearance of all symptoms.
