Structure:

100 grams of cream contains: Acyclovir – 5g.

Auxiliary components: propylene glycol, white soft paraffin, cetostearyl alcohol, liquid paraffin, poloxamar 407, sodium lauryl sulfate, purified water.

Properties:

Acyclovir is an antiviral agent. Active against herpes simplex virus (HSV) types I and Il and Varicella zoster virus (chickenpox).

Indications:

for the treatment of skin infections caused by the herpes simplex virus, including initial and recurrent genital herpes and labial herpes.

Mode of application:

Adults and children: acyclovir cream should be applied 5 times a day with an interval of 4 hours, excluding at night. It should be applied to lesions or impending lesions as early as possible after the onset of infection, when the first lesions appear. The duration of treatm is 5 days. If healing has not occurred – up t days.

Contraindications:

hypersensitivity to acyclovir, valacyclovir and other components of the drug.

Precautions:

the cream is not recommended to be applied to mucous membranes (mouth, eyes or vagina) may cause irritation. Avoid contact with eyes. Use with caution in patients with severe immunosuppression.

Side effects:

temporary burning or tingling sensation, peeling of the skin, itching, contact dermatitis.

Pregnancy and lactation:

should be used with caution during pregnancy and only if the expected benefit to the mother outweighs any possible risk to the fetus. This medication may pass into breast milk, consult your doctor.

Storage:

Store at a temperature not exceeding 25C, not freeze. Out of the reach of children.
