Composition:

1 g of lotion contains:

Betamethasone Dipropionate 0.64mg

Salicylic acid – 20 mg.

Properties:

Betamethasone dipropionate is a synthetic corticosteroid that has anti-inflammatory, antipruritic and vasoconstrictor effects.

Salicylic acid has keratolytic properties, as well as bacteriostatic and fungicidal properties.

Indications:

for the relief of inflammatory manifestations of psoriasis and seborrhea of the scalp, for the relief of inflammatory manifestations of lesions not associated with the scalp, psoriasis and other corticosteroid-sensitive dermatoses.

Mode of application:

you should apply a few drops of lotion to the affected area, gently and thoroughly massa e the scalp or skin on another part of the bod The frequency of application is daily, morning and evening. For some patients, adequate

supportive therapy can be achieved with less frequent use.

Contraindications:

in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to any component of the composition, tuberculous and viral skin lesions, perioral dermatitis.

Precautions:

if excessive dryness, irritation or sensitization develops when using the lotion, treatment should be discontinued. In the presence of infection, appropriate therapy is indicated. Any of the side effects may also topical corticosteroids, especially in infants and children. Systemic absorption of corticosteroids or salicylic acid will be increased if large body surfaces are treated. Avoid applying salicylic acid to open wounds or damaged skin. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.

Side effects:

burning, itching, irritation, dryness, folliculiti hypertrichosis, acne, hypopigmentation, perioral dermatitis, allergic contact dermatitis.

When using occlusive dressings, the following can occur most often: skin maceration, secondary infection, skin atrophy, striae and militia. Salicylic acid preparations can cause dermatitis.

Pregnancy and lactation:

Since the safety of the use of topical corticosteroids in pregnant women and breastfeeding has not been established, a drug in this class should be used only if the potential benefits justify the potential risk to the fetus.
