Properties:
Prednisolone is a synthetic glucocorticoid drug, a dehydrated analog of hydrocortisone. It has anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, immunosuppressive, anti-shock effects, and increases the sensitivity of β-adrenergic receptors to endogenous catecholamines.
Interacts with specific cytoplasmic receptors (glucocorticoid receptors (GCS) are found in all tissues, especially in the liver) to form a complex that induces the formation of proteins (including enzymes that regulate vital processes in cells).
Indications:
-Systemic connective tissue diseases;
-Acute and chronic inflammatory diseases of the joints;,
-Bronchial asthma;
-Acute and chronic allergic diseases, including
-Skin diseases:
-Allergic eye diseases
-Inflammatory eye diseases
-Primary or secondary adrenal insufficiency
-Congenital adrenal hyperplasia.

-Gastrointestinal diseases.
Dosage and administration:
-For adults and children weighing more than 10 kg.
-The drug is taken orally with a small amount of water.
-The dose and duration of treatment is selected by the doctor on an individual basis, depending on the indications and severity of the disease. The selection of the dose and duration of treatment is determined depending on the individual response to therapy.
-Solupred at a dosage of 20 mg is taken depending on whether you are starting treatment or need short-term therapy requiring moderate to high doses.
Side effects:
-Infectious and parasitic diseases: opportunistic infection, masking of clinical symptoms of infections, candidal esophagitis.
-From the immune system: skin rash, itching, anaphylactic shock.
-On the part of the endocrine system: reduced glucose tolerance, “steroidal” diabetes mellitus or manifestation of latent diabetes mellitus, suppression of adrenal function.

Contraindications:
– hypersensitivity to prednisolone or to any of the excipients;
– systemic mycosis;
-simultaneous use of live and attenuated vaccines with immunosuppressive doses of the drug;
– eye infection caused by the herpes simplex virus (due to the risk of corneal perforation);
– period of breastfeeding;
-to not be taken by children weighing less than 10 kg.
Warning and precautions:
Before you start taking Disprelone-OD inform your doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have any special condition or take any medications.
If any side effects occur, immediately inform your doctor.
