Properties:
-Lactoferrin is an iron-binding glycoprotein physiologically present in mammalian milk, with a higher concentration in colostrum, and it represents a central component of the innate immune response in the newborn. Lactoferrin is able to reversibly chelate two Fe (l) per molecule with high affinity to help maintain iron homeostasis it also have an immune boosting activity. Lactoferrin may protect the body from harmful organisms that cause bacterial, viral, and fungal infections.
-LF is partially digested and found to be able to modulate microbiota as a prebiotic agent which may contribute to its beneficial functions in gut health.
-Due to anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antiviral, immunomodulatory, antioxidant, and antitumor activity, the possibility of lactoferrin use in disease prevention (as a supportive treatment in obesity, diabetes, as well as cardiovascular diseases, including iron deficiency and anemia) is reported.

Dosage and administration:
Orally. Dissolve the contents of one sachet in a ½ glass of water. For maximum absorption, lactoferrin should be taken before meals or on an empty stomach.
Adults: 100-400 mg daily for up to 12 weeks or as prescribed by your doctor.
Side effects:
Skin rash, loss of appetite, constipation, diarrhea and nausea.
